Nike’s official launch of Nike SB in 2002 cemented the deep ties between skate culture and the Nike Dunk. Under Sandy Bodecker’s leadership, the iconic Nike SB Dunk made its debut. Nestled between the High and Low iterations, the Nike SB Dunk Mid features a mid-top cut with SB-specific enhancements. As reliable as ever, the Dunk design on the silhouette largely remains the same, but the mid-top form ensures ankle protection for all riders in addition to a Zoom Air heel unit in the sockliner cushioning and a strap for a custom fit. Utilizing mixed materials and colors, the SB Dunk Mid has told many unique stories, including memorable releases such as the Three Bears, Ken Griffey Jr, Ryu from Street Fighter and more.
