Nike Dunk High

As a call to “Be True To Your School,” the Nike Dunk High began as a “team color”-based basketball shoe in 1985, featuring leather uppers and a two-tone design along with a cupsole construction and modified herringbone outsole. Skateboarders began to co-opt the shoe for its performance features that could withstand a beating. Fast forward to 2002, when Nike launched its fledgling SB brand and leaned on the Dunk High as a founding silhouette. Creating an array of creative collaborations and a resurgence in the Japanese market with exclusive colorways made through Nike’s CO.JP program, the Dunk High cemented itself as a mainstay for its simple look and offerings in men’s and women’s sizes.
