Adidas Continental 80
In 1986, adidas introduced the tennis-inspired Continental sneaker, a shoe that took most of its inspiration from predominant court aesthetics of the time but was intended for both leisure and exercise. Created in the vein of clean and simple designs like the Stan Smith, the shoe’s stark design is punctuated with a colored slash across the upper. Initially manufactured in France, the shoe was discontinued for a number of years, before returning as the Continental 80. Key colorways include ‘Triple White’ and ‘Pride.’
