Division Street’s Ducks of a Feather (DOAF), Flight Club introduces the Nike GT Future “Metallic Nova”—a limited-edition release that reframes the University of Oregon’s legacy through a progressive, performance-driven lens. Rooted in tradition but engineered for what’s next, the silhouette merges heritage cues with forward-thinking design, arriving exclusively at Flight Club New York on May 9.

Built on the ethos of innovation that defines Oregon athletics, the GT Future “Metallic Nova” transforms familiar visual language into something entirely new—where motion, light and material converge.

DESIGN

Upper

The defining element of the “Metallic Nova” is its liquid-metal finish. Inspired by the natural iridescence of the mallard duck, the upper shifts between green and gold tones depending on light and movement. This dynamic surface treatment captures both the energy of the Pacific Northwest and the evolving identity of Oregon athletics—never static, always progressing.

Materiality 

Contrasting the high-gloss exterior, synthetic suede accents introduce depth and tactility across the silhouette. The interplay between smooth, reflective surfaces and soft, grounded textures creates a balanced composition—where nature meets engineered precision.

Outsole + Construction

Underfoot, tinted rubber detailing enhances the futuristic palette while reinforcing performance intent. TPU welded logos deliver a seamless, modern finish, aligning with the GT Future’s technical foundation. Every detail is considered, built to feel as advanced as it looks.

HERITAGE, REIMAGINED

While the “Metallic Nova” pushes design forward, it remains grounded in Oregon’s unmistakable identity. The green and yellow palette serves as its foundation—reinterpreted through a futuristic lens that elevates familiar colors into something entirely new.

Each pair is individually numbered, with only 300 units produced worldwide. This rarity underscores the project’s intent: not just a release, but a moment.

Available exclusively at Flight Club New York, the drop continues DOAF’s mission to bridge sport, culture and community. Proceeds from the release will directly benefit participating University of Oregon student-athletes, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to creating opportunity through innovation.

The DOAF x Nike GT Future “Metallic Nova” will release exclusively at Flight Club New York on Saturday, May 9. Limited to 300 individually numbered pairs, the drop will be available in-store on a first come, first served basis.
