Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God announced its partnership with adidas at the end of 2020 following the end of its chapter with Nike. The team-up established a new Fear of God Athletics sub-label that borrows some shapes and color palettes from Fear of God’s seasonal Essentials collections. Additionally, the creative partnership has brought footwear created by Fear of God and adidas such as the Fear of God Athletics 1, a minimalist, court-inspired mid-top that mixes adidas’ performance DNA with Fear of God’s signature proportions and colors. Additional sneaker styles like the Fear of God Athletics '86 Lo and Fear of God Los Angeles sneakers followed.
