The New Balance 1400 was first released in 1994 as a part of the 1000 series alongside the 1500 and 1600. Harking back to older favorites such as the NB 576 and NB 990v1, the upper features overlaid panels that mixes premium materials including leather, suede, mesh and synthetics. A TPU heel clip pairs with ENCAP cushioning, all sitting atop a serrated rubber outsole.
