Nike Daybreak

Introduced in 1979, the Nike Daybreak was an early and foundational low-top track model that set the stage for later Nike running designs. The Daybreak featured an outsole tread pattern inspired by Bill Bowerman’s famous experiments, during which he innovated Nike’s waffle sole. Alongside shoes like the LDV and Tailwind 79, the Daybreak is considered one of Nike’s most foundational running silhouettes. Key colorways include the collaborative edition with Undercover as well as general release versions like “Pale Ivory” and “White University Red.”
