In late 2016, the Kyrie 3 debuted as Kyrie Irving was spending his last days with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Built for Irving’s specific type of play, the Kyrie 3 emphasizes traction with two pivot points with a toe-to-heel herringbone pattern on the outsole for grip. Although designed for court-feel rather than cushioning, the performance shoe does feature a Zoom Air capsule in the heel. Several of Irving’s personal mottos are also incorporated into the design, such as “JBY” (Just Be Yourself) and “H+H” (Hungry and Humble). Key colorways include the “Candy Apple,” “Mamba Mentality” and “Finals” versions.
