Nike Mars Yard

Tom Sachs proved to be a unique member of Nike’s roster of collaborators when he first partnered with the brand in 2012. The concept for the resulting Mars Yard shoe was to imagine the perfect shoe for a mechanical engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Sachs even enlisted NASA engineer Tommaso Rivellini to co-design. In 2017, the collaboration was reprised with the Mars Yard 2.0 and the Mars Yard Overshoe in 2018.
