Released in 2003, the Nike Mayfly is a race-day shoe that was designed to last only approximately 100km before the shoe breaks down. Inspired by the mayfly insect, the shoe weighs 135 grams and is crafted with a single piece of ripstop fabric that forms the upper, along with an injected molded Phylon midsole.
