Nike Air Trainer 3

The Nike Air Trainer 3 arrived in 1988 as a continuation of the Air Trainer franchise. The shoe’s original philosophy was conceived by legendary designer Tinker Hatfield, who was inspired by the idea of a multipurpose cross-training shoe that could be worn for activities like running, basketball, weightlifting and more. Evolving the technical specifications of the Air Trainer 1, the Air Trainer 3 came with updates like a perforated upper and ribbed heel counter. Key colorways include the “Medicine Ball,” “Transformers” and “Bo Jackson” versions.
